About the Author - Lacey
Hello, I am Lacey.
I am 21 years old (legal drinker as of February!). I am from Connecticut and my whole family still lives there. I miss my family a lot, we are very close, but even when I visit, I am always happy to come back home to Florida. Tanner and I met on a cruise in the Bahamas in 2004. After a year of long distance dating and a lot of flights back and forth, I moved to Florida to be with Tanner. (Tanner almost moved to CT, but I had a change of heart about my university degree, and it seemed more plausible for me to move to Florida.)
I am a senior Psychology major, and I am currently studying for the GRE so I can get into graduate school. I am hoping to get into a Psy. D program (a clinical psychology doctorate). Right now I am starting a job at a substance abuse treatment facility for teen males. I am going to work between 20-30 hours a weeek while attending my last year at school full time. I have a hobby of soap making and I like to make soap as presents. I am also trying to take up sewing, and Tanner bought me a very nice sewing machine for my birthday and I am having fun trying new sewing techniques.
I also enjoy riding a recumbant bike for exercise.
I am very excited about the upcoming wedding, particularly the fact that it will be in Vegas - so much fun! I can’t wait to start trying on wedding dresses, but I’m trying to hold off until I lose more weight (I have a goal of 35lbs. and I am already half way there in just 2 months!). I have lived with Tanner for 2 years and I love it! I look forward to many more years with him. I think we make a good team, as we have tackled many house, car, and internet projects together successfully.
