Is it possible to have that wedding of your dreams and still save oodles of dollars? You bet! While every woman dreams of a fairytale wedding, it does not happen unless you marry a prince. However, you can still be the gorgeous princess and have your happiest and most superb day of your life. If you know those little tricks to avoid the wedding money-rip-offs and welcome the dollar-savers with open arms instead, your wedding day would be as excellent as how you dreamt it to be.

So you got all the necessities jotted down for your wedding with corresponding amount of money to splurge and Voila! You find that it doesn’t conform to your wedding budget. Do not fret just yet as there are ways to trim down your expenses. Start with your invitations. Consider putting your own personal touch and creativity. You can do it yourself using wedding clip-arts or ask your friends who are Photoshop savvy. There are also ready-to-print-out wedding invitations that you might want to avail.

Another option is send your invitations through email, paperless correspondence is the in-thing, why not your invitation? That will be your contribution to ‘saving the earth’ as well. If you must send paper invitations, you’ll find that you can buy cheapest but elegant invitations on the internet. All you must have is the patience to surf for the best deal that you can have.

Your whole wedding entourage need not have to wear a certain color motif but if you feel you must, you have alternative choices where you can find all the attires. Look online for either good as new or even brand new gowns for yourself and bridesmaids. Most bridal sites or even Ebay offer bottom priced wedding apparels, same with the groom and bridegrooms. Try discontinued line from bridal shops as they certainly slash the prices drastically. Also, check out the rental shops where you can find selections that will fit everybody to a perfect T.

Flowers and floral arrangements are easy to make just use your creativity. Why not start planting your own flowers so you can use them in time for your wedding! But if that is not possible, buy seasonal flowers from groceries, they are cheaper than the florists. Add ribbons and laces. It helps to browse for ideas online for your flowers and floral arrangements. For your decorations, put lots of balloons and paper banners that match with your wedding motif. Adding floating candles and floating petals on tables certainly makes it attractive.

The bulk of expenses go to the reception. The venue, the number of people you invite, the type of menu and how many courses you want to feed your guests plus drinks determine the amount of money you will spend. Wedding venue can be done right in your backyard, if you don’t have a backyard, ask your friends who have considerable space that you can use as your after-wedding reception. Have a barbecue instead of full course dinner. Request your guests to bring their own alcohol if they want to. If your venue has to be in a hall or restaurant, consider holding your wedding in the morning where they can be served set light- meals. That will save you heaps of money.

No matter how big or small, formal or informal your wedding is going to be, at the end of the day, what matters most is you celebrated your bliss with family and friends without spending beyond your means.
