So, you want to lose weight for your wedding. Almost everyone does, no matter if they’re overweight or not, we all have our personal goals.
If you really want to save money, you might want to think about ways to exercise with little or no extra purchases.
-You can run, jog, or walk around your block or at a local park (ladies may want to go with a friend or spouse for safety purposes).
-You can ride a bike if you already own one.
-You can buy or find a free exercise video on Youtube or Google video.
-Purchase a cheap set of a couple dumbells and use them for weight training, or in addition to running or walking. Try anywhere from Walmart and Sports Authority to Craigslist or Ebay. Research the best price before you buy!
If these solutions don’t work for you, you may be inclined to give in a purchase fitness equipment. Tanner and I bought 4 sets of equipment at amazing prices, and I’ll tell you how.
What we bought/where:
- Nautilus Weight Bench w/free weights- Costco - $185, one time special (saved $300)
- 500lbs. of dumbells - Craigslist - $150 + a used car amp that we didn’t need - trade goods or services for better prices! (saved $300)
- NordicTrak Recumbent Bike - Craigslist - $135, new never opened (saved $600)
-NordicTrak Elliptical - Craigslist - $150, barely used (saved $700)
Does anyone have a similar story about saving money on exercise equipment?
Buying exercising equipment is a good idea, though you don’t need to spend a lot of money. You can get a great discount on a home gym or even just pick up some golf clubs and hit the links for a day of outdoor exercise.
