Ideas for Table Centerpieces

- Place a non-floral item in wedding color inside a glass vase and wrap with wedding color bow (example – granny smith apples in a vase with a pink bow, wedding colors: green and pink)

- Use a mirror (or perhaps without) and a glass bowl, fill with water and fish or floating candles (fish or candles are the wedding favor)

- Use an hourglass cylinders and fill one side with a decorative item and the other with a candle (example – flower or potpourri on bottom and matching candle on top in wedding colors)

- Potted plants/flowers (ones you have already or maybe would like to have at your house)

- To create a stunning look fill a large vase or bowl with distilled water and a large floater candle. Use coordinating flower petals to place around the outside of the vase or bowl.

- Place a large amount of rock salt on the center of the table. Place neutral colored candles in varying sizes, from pillars to tea lights, in the rock salt. Keep lit the entire reception for a simply elegant look.

- For a rectangular table centerpiece is to take an inexpensive bedroom door mirror and place it down in the center of the table. You can paint two sides of the mirror to coordinate with your wedding colors. Place large and small candles in the same color on the mirror. Sprinkle silver or gold confetti on the mirror once the candles are in place. The effect is both, eye-popping and dramatic.

- Framed photos of you and your sweetheart in your favorite places with a description of why that place is important to you. (Place various sized boxes on the table and drape with cloth to create height.) To take it a step further, assign each guest a table “place” rather then number to correspond with the photo and description on the table. Or you can use scrapbook pages of the same themes

- Fish bowls with goldfish inside. Use gravel that is the same color as your wedding colors. (They can be favors for the kids!)

- Bottles of champagne (they can each be different types) with a wreathe of ivy or evergreen around the bottom of them.

- Hurricane lamps with flower pedals sprinkled around them or filled with Christmas balls in the shades of your wedding colors.

- Antique teapots with flowers inside.

- Wedding photographs of other guests at your wedding or who have passed on whose marriages you admire(d) (this looks really cool if the photos are old)

- Snow globes! You can make your own (craft stores sell plain ones that you can put photos in) or buy ones that reflect something about you or the wedding. For example, if you are honeymooning in Hawaii get cheesy, retro, Hawaiian snow globes off Ebay.

- Board games, perfect for the children’s tables.

- Straw hats (very cheap at craft stores) decorated with silk flowers and ribbons, perfect for an outdoor, spring, reception.

- Antique birdcages filled with flowers.
