This is a sorta neat idea to raise money to pay for your wedding, but could possibly be very time consuming. There are many web communities revolving around performing small chores, freelance work, writing services, and other various skills.

freelance writing to save money for marriage

Let me tell you how you could earn bridal bucks or matrimony moola by simply doing things that you already love (or hate, but could stand doing for money). In case you have not heard of them, there are many website where people are looking to hire freelance employees (people who work on their own in a distinct set of skills or talents) to perform tasks that range from simple to complex. Projects for freelancers could range from creating websites, to intensive Java programming, to Internet marketing, to writing services.

I would like to focus mainly on the writing services, because not everyone know how to create a marriage homepage, but everyone knows how to write something here and there. Typically, you must decide what you would like to write for your employers to earn money. You can choose writing boring technical documentation, you can write fictional stories, you can write news articles, or you can write blog posts for people like me and my wedding blog. I would choose something simple like writing individual blog posts or short articles or product reviews. They would be relatively quick and easy.

Once you have decided the type of writing you will do, visit one of these freelance websites (that all have areas for writers) and browse through the projects that people have posted. Find some that are interesting to you, might pay well enough and go ahead and either make a bid on the project for what you’d like to get paid or go ahead and signup directly for the project. Performing services like this is 1) safe 2) easy 3) done from home 4) abundant. You’ll find tons of projects that you could do every day and you can do as many or as much as you’d like. Heck, if you have programming skills, you could get paid even more to perform jobs like that. Here is a great list of freelance websites to peruse through:

Then again, you could always become an author for Saving for a Wedding and write posts for us ;)

I would also highly suggest checking out sites like Craigslist for services that people are looking for. Maybe you know how to make a wedding bouquet or you could perform wedding photography services for a wedding ceremony in exchange for money. Just think of all the small job opportunities are out there to save for your wedding. Very easy and lots of money.

Trying to make a little extra money? Try taking a writing program to improve your skills so that you can freelance. Whether you have a formal education in writing, are working on your degree online or just love to write, freelancing is a great way to earn some cash for your wedding or big purchase.

If you’re looking for a writer (for real), please e-mail me! I’m trying to save for a wedding myself, and I’m a journalist. I could use the money!
