Savings Tip #3: Sell Your Junk

A while back, Senseo had a deal where if you have a club or group meeting, they would send you a Senseo machine and some informational packets to promote Senseo to your club members. Well, Tanner and I got a total of 5 Senseos from this deal. In order to save some money towards our Wedding, we decided that we would sell 2 of our 4 Senseos that have not been opened.

The amazing part - I listed a black Senseo today, and it sold a couple of hours later at my competitive price. I made a total of $44 from the deal shipping credit included, after Amazon’s commission. I am going to ship the Senseo tomorrow so I will let you know how much of that I have left after shipping. Anyone want a red Senseo?

In addition to the Senseos, we also have a lot of DVDs, many of which we are willing to part with. I have been listing these dvds on Ebay. With Amazon.com and Ebay.com, you can sell practically anything. I think of these sites as online garage sales. Another good thing to sell if you are in or just out of college, is your textbooks. Textbooks are expensive and if you sell them to your school bookstore you will only make a fraction of the price back whereas if you sell them online, you can make back most of the price.

hi lacey!
what a great site to track and raise money for your wedding! btw, your google adsense links aren’t working up at the top. i tried a few times! also, have you thought about having a paypal link so that people who might be moved to do so… might donate via paypal? it’s so easy!
